1. Where are you located?

Our corporate headquarters is located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, USA. We have additional locations in Mobile, Alabama; Birmingham, Alabama; Jackson, Mississippi; and Laurel, Mississippi.

2. What is your geographical capability?

PELA has successfully completed projects in 34 states in the USA and 14 foreign countries.

3. Do you only provide consulting services?

No. PELA provides technical, consulting, compliance, and litigation support services.

4. What areas of expertise do you have?

PELA is an environmental consulting and engineering firm. Our staff consists of geologists; hydrologists; civil, environmental, and geotechnical, engineers; archaeologists; biologists; and other environmental scientists.

5. What is karst terrane?

Karst terrane is a topographical feature, evidence of which typically includes caves and sinkholes. Karst terrane can have a significant impact on development and infrastructure, as well as natural resource management.

6. Can you help me if a sinkhole has occurred on my property?

Yes. PELA professionals can perform an investigation into the cause of the sinkhole and determine what methods of remediation may be available.

7. Who are your clients?

Our clients consist of governments, corporations, various types of industries, utilities, law firms, lending institutions, cell tower companies, and individuals. Because of our broad clients base, we understand the unique needs and regulatory requirements of many different business sectors, making us well-equipped for different types of projects for different clients.

8. Do you have any government socio-economic certifications?

Yes. PELA is a small-business. If your government contract requires you to set-aside a percentage of your contract for businesses with other socio-economic certifications, PELA’s sister company Vigilance Environmental Solutions, Inc., is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small-Business. 9. Do you have project experience in water resource development?

Yes. PELA has assisted with water resource development for industrial and human consumption. As representative projects, PELA professionals have been engaged to provide water resource development for the Kharga Oasis in the Western Desert of Egypt and in Damascus, Syria for the Figeh Spring. 10. What is your corporate structure?

PELA is led by a senior staff, comprised of the heads of the Technical and Administrative divisions. The Technical Division monitors, on a daily basis, adherence to company and industry standards for technical approach and quality. The Administrative Division assures that work is completed in accordance with contractual requirements and monitors project budgets.

11. Do you perform asbestos and mold related services?

Yes. PELA provides asbestos and mold related investigations.
